Asiatic Russia
Россия (за Уралом)
Amateur radio here
Same country, separate DXCC: everything east of the Urals counts as Asiatic Russia, and for a Moscow station it is real DX — thousands of kilometres of taiga between my wire and a UA9 or UA0 call. Siberian and Far Eastern operators are famous for keeping schedules through conditions that would silence most of Europe. Working my own country the long way round is the first serious distance test for 5 watts.
National society: SRR (Union of Radio Amateurs of Russia), 1992
The frequency is quiet
No UA8-UA0 in my logbook yet. This page is waiting — if that is your prefix and you hear a weak UB3BIJ calling, please come back to me. 1-5 W QRP needs friendly ears.
