The SRAL, founded in 1921, is one of the oldest amateur societies in the world. Finland treats radio as a national craft: the country that gave the world Nokia also built some of the most ambitious private antenna farms in Europe. OH stations from the Arctic Circle even put "Santa Claus Land" on the air every December under the OF9X banner.
