Germany hosts one of the largest national societies in the world: the DARC, founded in 1950, counts tens of thousands of members. Every summer the town of Friedrichshafen holds HAM RADIO, Europe’s biggest amateur radio fair. On the bands DL stations are simply everywhere — for most European newcomers Germany is among the first entries in the log.
