Amateur radio here

Kazakh amateur radio grew out of the same DOSAAF school as the rest of the former USSR, and the UN prefix still carries that CW-first culture. The steppe is generous to antennas: flat horizons for hundreds of kilometres and quiet band noise that city operators can only dream about. Baikonur, the world’s first spaceport, sits on this territory — a fitting neighbour for a hobby born of the same era.

National society: KFRR (Kazakhstan Federation of Radiosport)

The frequency is quiet

No UN-UQ in my logbook yet. This page is waiting — if that is your prefix and you hear a weak UB3BIJ calling, please come back to me. 1-5 W QRP needs friendly ears.
