Lithuania’s LY stations are steady performers in European contests, and the country has a lively VHF and digital-modes scene. In 1922 the University of Lithuania in Kaunas hosted some of the region’s earliest radio experiments, and the first Lithuanian broadcast transmitter followed in 1926 — amateurs were close behind.
