Dutch radio history is enormous for such a small country: in the 1920s the PCJJ shortwave station in Eindhoven made some of the first intercontinental broadcasts. VERON, formed in 1945 immediately after liberation, united the pre-war societies. PA stations are famously active — flat land, good soil conductivity, and no mountains to argue with.
